Patou Pour Homme by Jean Patou c1980

Patou Pour Homme by Jean Patou: launched in 1980, created by Jean Kerleo.



Original Fragrance Composition:


So what does it smell like? It is classified as an spicy oriental fougere fragrance for men.
  • Top notes:  Malabar black pepper, tarragon, pimento, lavender, mint and basil
  • Middle notes: patchouli, geranium, Virginia cedar, Bourbon vetiver, clary sage and fir
  • Base notes: oakmoss, musk, Mysore sandalwood, leather, civet, vanilla and tonka bean


Bottles:


The bottle was designed by sculptor Serge Mansau in 1980. The bottles were produced in France by both Pochet et du Courval and Verreries Brosse.


Fate of the Fragrance:

Patou Pour Homme was reformulated by Thomas Fontaine and relaunched in 2014 as part of the Collection Heritage, a line of reformulated and relaunched Jean Patou classic fragrances.


So what does it smell like? This version is described as an oriental fougere fragrance for men.
  • Top notes: bergamot, lemon, galbanum and pepper
  • Middle notes: lavender, jasmine, rose, tarragon and violet
  • Base notes: patchouli, olibanum and amber
